Town Tip In Good Order

A small bouquet for the town refuse tip was flourished by the health inspector, Mr A. R. Knights, in his report to the Whakatane Borough Council on Monday night. It produced no comment from councillors.

The inspector stated that the tip had been put into good order,' “but owing to a lack of control some careless and thoughtless persons continue to dump waste material on a cleared area some, distance from the tip face.”

Successful Applicants Fifteen applicants were tested for driving licences at Whakatane last month by the traffic inspector, Mr M. C. Bridge, and each was successful.
