COMPETITIONS CONTINUE ON SATURDAY After a break of a couple of weeks senior Rugby competitions ydll continue at Whakatane and Taneatua on Saturday. At Whakatane the main game will be the meeting of the ladder winners Paroa with Poroporo. On the No. 1 ground Wairaka will play the improving Ruatoki team.

Because of the inter-school match between the Whakatane and Matamata High Schools to be played at Whakatane on Saturday only two junior games will be played. School will forfeit their match to Paroa. So far this year School have not won an inter-college game. Saturday's games:—

Senior: Taneatua v United at Taneatua, H. W. Chambers; Poroporo v Paroa No. 2, H. Craig; Ruatoki v Wairaka No. 1, A. Mitchell. Junior: Poroporo v United No. 2, G, Gartshore; Paroa v Taneatua at Taneatua. M. Thatcher. Third Grade: Paroa v Ruatoki at Taneatua, L. McCready; School B v United No. 1, R. Harris; School A a bye. RANGITAIKI GAMES The Rangitaiki Union will con-, tinue both the senior and junior Rugby?competitions on Saturday:— Senior: Edgecumbe v Te Teko at Edgecumbe, 2.30 p.m., referee, B. Smith; Thornton v Matata at Thornton, 2 p.m., A. Magee. Junior: Edgecumbe’ v Otakiri at Edgecumbe, 1 p.m., A. Hegh; Matata v Te Teko at Matata, 1 p.m., A. Kinley.
