Check To Be Made On Bicycles
A check on all bicycles at Whakatane and in other centres in the Bay of Plenty is to be held before the end of the month. This will be part of a Dominion wide campaign being carried out by the Transport Department to try and bring all bicycles in use on the road today up to a reasonably safe standard. The Transport Department is also to start checking on motor vehicles this month for registration, warrants of fitness and also driving licenses.
