Farmer Lost In Bush

When he got lost in a dense fog while pig hunting in bush near the Matahi Valley, Waimana, a Makarae farmer, Mr G. C. Le Comte, was unable to move until the fog lifted. He went in on Monday but came out at 3 p.m. yesterday. One of Mr Le Comte’s dogs returned to his home on Wednesday and fears were felt for his safety. A search was organised and another at daybreak yesterday. A further party was ready to enter the bush from Ruatoki when Mr Le Comte returned to his home. He suffered no ill effects from his enforced camp in the bush.
