Awakeri Venue Of Bay W.D.F.F. Meeting

Delegates from centres throughout the Bay of Plenty, representing the Eastern Bay, Tauranga and Te Puke, were present at the interprovincial conference of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers, held at Awakeri. The president of the Eastern Bay Centre, Mrs A. Hill, presided over an attendance of about 90.

Mrs Eastwood, of Piako, area representative on the Dominion advisory board, was presented with a shoulder spray. She gave an interesting address on the work and meaning of the W.D.F.F. movement Meals were prepared and served by Awakeri, Te Teko and Taneatua members. Competitions were won by Mesdames E. Hill, Jamieson Madden jnr., and E. A. Haultairi.
