Rugmaking From Old Stockings
Mrs Cooper presided over a good attendance at the monthly meeting f.f the Kowhai Women’s . Institute held at Whakatane. Mrs E. M. Timbs gave an interesting demonstration in rugmaking with old stockings and material She was later presented with a posy of flowers:—
Competition results: — Mystery parcel, Mrs Moles vorth 1; best vegetable, Mrs Miller 1, Mrs Grace 2, Mrs Prouse 3; best flower, Mrs Rae 1, Mrs Prouse 2; plate of scones, Mrs Rae 1, Mrs Grace 2, Mrs Prouse 3; knitted gloves, Miss D. Richardson 1, Mrs Miller 2.
