Sir, —Old Timer, Galatea, should not butt in on the argument between the "two fishing villages Tauranga and Whakatane, but (no pun) concentrate on boosting Murupara as the site for the town and port. Boats could be brought up the Rangitaiki River, if enough dams were built. Yours etc.,
