For having unlawful possession of two N.Z. railway tarpaulins Jack Douglas Leather (Mr Barry) farmer, Waimana, was convicted and fined £3, costs 10s, in the Whakatane Magistrate’s Court yesterday. He was ordered to return the tarpaulins. Straying Horses Three labourers of Paroa were each convicted and fined by Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., yesterday for alk wing horses to stray on county roads.
Joseph Dodd was fined £1 10s, costs £1 8s 6d, while Auki Dick Nathan and Kuiti Ratahi were each fined £1 10s, costs £1 13s 6d.
