HORSE EVENTS ASSIST AT TE TEKO CATTLE DOG TRIALS
Favoured with a fine day the Te Teko Cattle Dog Trial Club’s thirtyfirst annual meeting was an outstanding success. Competitors were present from Rotorua, Tauranga, and Opotiki with the local district being well represented. In the horse events the Whakatane Hunt Club members were strongly represented and gave the jumping events a very needed boost. The judging of the dog trials was done by Mr Eggleton, who_ sorted the winners out of the forty odd competing dogs. Mr W. Scott successfully judged the big fields in the horse jumping events. At the conclusion of the competitions the club president, Mr C. .Eivers, congratulated successful competitors and thanked those who helped to make the day the success it was. Results were:— Dog Event: S. B. James’ ‘Storm’ 57 points 1, C. McMillan’s ‘Joe’ 55 2, C. Eiver’s ‘Sam’ 54 3, H. Sisam’s ‘Moss’ 5H 4. Special Cups and Prizes: Dunderdale Cup won by C. McMillan.
