Past Dairy Season Has Been Fair One For Most Farmers
Despite a dry period which had affected particularly farmers in light country, the past season had been a very fair one for dairy farmers throughout New Zealand, stated Mr D. C. Butler (Rangitaiki), president of the Dairy section of the Bay of Plenty Province of Federated Farmers, at the fourth annual conference. Most factories had shown an increased output for the season, he said. Referring to the prospect of increased prices, for dairy produce this season, Mr Butler stated that he considered there was no need for pessimism.
“In my opinion,” stated Mr Butler, “the contract price is not likely to be less this year and possibly may be higher. It does not do to be over-pessimistic.”
