Miniature Rifles
GOOD SCORES AT FORTNIGHTLY MEETING Some good scores were carded at the weekly shoot of the Whakatane Legion Miniature Rifle Club. Three competitors, A. Bradshaw, J. Jessop and L. O. Stewart, took top score of 92 out of a possible 100. Although the only ones to break 90 there were other good performances and the .club appears to have good prospects in the forthcoming Waikato championships.

Spong 88, N. Reid 71, B. Whittaker 67, T. G. Attwood 63, C. Kingsley-Smith 46, J. Syme 46. A silver teaspoon trophy was won by M. Whittaker and the junior pennant went to R. D. Spong. The holders of the silver buttons, W. Tyssen, 'Miss D. Tyssen, Miss A. Bathe and C. R. Hunt, were challenged and defeated by C. T. Bathe, Mrs J. Critchley, W. Addison and A. Bradshaw.
