There were more cars at Whakatane on Friday than usual and parking m the town presented a bit of a problem for some motorists. For others it did not

At one stage of the afternoon in the lower end of the Strand there Were cars parked in “all directions.” In one small section three cars were double parked, one in front of a bicycle stand outside the post office, and there were another two parked at angles with portions of the body poking out into the road. Imagine the thoughts of the traffic inspector. He saw them all.
