SUPPORT APPRECIATED

Sir, —On behalf of the Edgecumbe division of St John Ambulance Brigade, I wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the ladies who so ably helped with the stalls, to the organisers and competitors of the various sports and to all who donated money, trophies, goods etc. and assure them that we had a very successful day. I also wish to express our sincere regret to the Edgecumbe Memorial Committee that our sports meeting should be held in opposition tcj their arrangements, and assure them that our own arrangements were too far advanced to cancel when advised of their date. Yours etc.,

A. S. MASSEY.
