Sir, —Is it not time the Whakatane Borough Council resigned? In so many matters of vital importance have they proved quite incapable, but their handling of the poWer situation surely beats everything. No district in the North Island has power cuts comparable v, T ith ours and this is unquestionably due to the complete lack of an aggressive approach to the question of our allocation and to the shameful distribution of the meagre ration which is available. The present sorry state of affairs must be borne by councillors. Surely their self-respect demands resignation. Yours etc.,
