Much Interest In Forthcoming Game's Film For Whakatane
Much interest has been shown not only by followers of sport but also other residents of the district in the forthcoming film on the 1950 British Games, which is to be screened at Whakatane next month. The theatre reports good bokings for all sessions. Plans have been made to have 3 sessions each day and most of those during the day will be for schools in the district.
Of probable interest to Whakatane people will be the scenes of the rowing at Lake Karapiro, which was attended by the Wnafratane Rowing Club. Although Whakatane rowers will not be seen in action most of the main Game’s events are shown.
Nearly all the sports, athletics, swimming, cycling and bowling will make their bow in the picture. which runs for just on 100 minutes.
