Retiring Officers Do Not Seek ReElection At Awakeri
The retiring president and secretary, Mesdames Carter and Fabish, who did not seek re-election were thanked for their untiring efforts during the past year at the annual meeting of the Awakeri Women’s Division of Federated Farmers. Mrs Carter urged those present to support the incoming officers and expressed appreciation of the assistance she had received during the year. ‘ i Officers elected:—
President, Mrs E. C. Haultain; vice-presidents, Mesdames Carter and Fabish; secretary-treasurer, Mrs C. Wilson; housekeeping secretary, Mrs Knight; committee, Mesdames D. Wilson, McKenzie, Arroll, Ramson, Brizzle, R. Keen, Currin, Barr; country women, Mrs Wilson; competitons, Mrs McKenzie; tea hostess, 'Mrs Brizzle; librarian, Mrs Keen; sales table, Mrs McGougan; provincial delegates, Mesdames Arroll and Wilkes; publicity officer, Mrs Currin; advisory members, Mesdames Barr and Brizzle.
Points prizes for the year were won by:— Aggregate over all sections, Mrs Fabish 1, Mrs Brizzle 2, Mrs McKenzie 3; special competition, Mrs L. Carter 1, Mrs E. C. Haultain 2; fruit, Mrs Fabish 1, Mrs Brizzle 2, Mrs Haultain 3; flower, Mrs C. R. Wilson .1, Mrs Brizzle 2, Mrs E. C. Haultain 3; vegetable, Mrs Brizzle 1, Mrs McKenzie 2, Mrs Wilson 3; preserves, Mrs Arroll 1, Mrs McGougan 2.
