Gross Limitations On Traffic Fees
The former gross limitation in connection with the 50 per cent on heavy traffic fees for farmers’ trucks was removed by regulations gazetted in December, 1948, said Mr J. R. Marshall, for the Minister of Transport, replying to a query from the Farmers’ Federation on this matter. Since the license quarter ended on February 28, 1949, he said, the, farmer had been entitled to the concession in fees irrespective of the gross weight of his vehicle.
A new kind of car top that will absorb and radiate heat from the sun in cold weather and deflect it on warm days has now been developed. x r x The Government of the United States has authorised funds for construction of 1,019 hospitals and health centres during the past 25 months.
