Warning Against Anti-Cold Capsules

A new remedy for the common cold in the form of pills or capsules under various trade names has recently appeared in New Zealand.

The chief ingredient is one of the anti-histamine drugs, which cause ckzziness and drownsiness in susceptible individuals.

The civil aviation branch of the Air Department, in making this statement, gives the following warning: “Unless it has been found from personal experience that no such effects are caused, individuals are advised not to pilot aircraft or drive motor cars while taking any of these preparations.”
