FRIENDLY GAMES TO BE PLAYED

The season for competitive tennis at Whakatane has more or less drawn to a close now after the two recent trophy matches against Rotorua. However, this week-end two friendly games with outside clubs f-ave been arranged for Whakatane teams to be played on Sunday.

At Whakatane a B team will play a similar graded team from Mount Maungdnui while Whakatane A is to play at Matata. Maori tennis games will be continued when players of the Whakatane Association will compete for the McLeod Trophies at the Poroporo courts on Sunday.
