CLUBS PREPARING FOR NEW SEASON Hockey clubs in the Central Bay of Plenty Association’s area are now preparing for the season, which is expected to open next month. The first outing for most teams was at the Edgecumbe tournament a fortnight ago when a surprisingly high standard of hockey was played.
On Sunday at 10 a.m. the first practice has been arranged for the Whakatane United team and a full attendance of all placers, intending players and anyone who may be interested is requested.
