Power Cuts Start Tomorrow
From tomorrow a power cut is to be introduced at Whakatane' when electricity is to he cut off for one hour daily from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. This action was taken by the Whakatane Borough Council today following instructions received from the Hydro-Electric Department for a saving in the Borough. This will help to reduce the consumption but all consumers are still required to cut down on the amount of power they are using.
