PRESBYTERIAN MODERATOR IS TO VISIT WHAKATANE

The Rt. Rev. Ronald S. Watson, M.C., M.A., E.D., Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, is to make a brief tour of the Maori Mission field from April 6 to April 16. He will commence at Nuhaka and will visit Whakatane, Waimana and the surrounding districts. i

Mr Watson, who was brought up in Feilding, served as a Chaplain in World War I, and was later minister at Devonport, Auckland, and Khandallah, Wellington. He was convener of several important committees of the Presbyterian General Assembly prior to his election t) the Moderatorship last November. •

He is at present minister of St, Andrew’s Church, Dunedin.
