Science Can’t Find Stradivarius Secret
Modern scientific instruments can split the atom, but they cannot unravel the secret of the singing tones which the old Italian violin maker, Antonius Stradivarius, locked in his superb violins. It was recently reported that the most delicate sound-measuring instruments in laboratories were used in an attempt to distinguish between a note played on a Stradivarius and the same note on an ordinary violin.
They were unable to do so, although the ears -of many humans can detect the difference easily.
