Thornton Red Cross Hold Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Thornton branch of the N.Z. Red Cross Society took place on Tuesday. The president’s report and balance sheet showed a satisfactory year’s work.
In the election of officers Mrs A. Robb, was elected president with Mesdames J. Branch and E. D. Sheat vice-presidents; Mrs G. H. Checkley was elected secretarytreasurer. These offices with Mesdames D. Branch, N. Tooke, Hitchens and Sullivan form the executive committee.
Plans for the coming year’s work were discussed.
