School Dental Clinic Alterations
Tenders for the alteration of the dental clinic at the Awakeri School are to be called soon the headmaster, Mr E. G. Anderson, told the monthly meeting of the Awakeri Parent-Teacher Association. Appreciation was voiced to Mesdames D. Wilson and J. Fletcher for their gift of tea towels to the school. Mr Anderson outlined' the sports which are to be held at Edgecumbe on April 5 while Mr W. Bunyan volunteered to place a silver plate on the Association’s Oratory Shield to denote last year’s winners. It was regretted that Mrs Hammond was leaving the school to teach at Whakatane.
Several games were played after the meeting under the captainship £f Messrs R. Hill and G. Tressider.
