New Zealand’s Part In Sth. African War Told After 47 Years

Forty-seven years after the end of the South African War a book on the part played by the New Zealanders in the war is to be published.Ht is called “The New Zealanders in* South Africa.” Five writers were employed on the task of writing such a book, says MajorWGeneral H. K. Kippenberger, editor-in-chief, New Zealand War Histories, in a foreword to the book. But for the perseverance of the South African War veterans, their - resolutions at annual conferences, and their letters and deputations to Ministers, the project would have been shelved and the authors’ manuscript buried in the Dominion’s archives.
