Competition Keen For All Classes At Fortnightly Pig Sale
There was a small yarding of baconers and a medium yarding of store and weaner pigs presented at the fortpightly pig sale conducted by Dalgety and Co. Ltd. at Opotiki on Monday. Competition on baconers, light and heavy and pork remained particularly keen, resulting in an excellent sale for vendors. Large’ store pigs are still meeting with steady competition and making excellent values.
A-total clearance was effected under/the hammer.
Realisations were: —
Prime heavy bacon, £6 13s to £6 15s, medium bacon, £6 8s to £6 11s, light bacon, £5 15s to £5 19s, heavy p.orkers, £4 10s to £4 19s, large stores, £3 15Mo £4 ss, small stores, £3 to £3 10s, slips, £2 to £2 2s, small inferior weaners, 12s.
