Small Demand And Low Values Realised At Autumn Horse Fair
A large number of horses of all classes came forward to the autumn horse fair of the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., held at Te Puke. The demand was not strong and except for a few broken-in |arm horses values were generally low. However, in most cases the vendors met the market and a good clearance was effected. # Prices realised:— Good quality unbroken hacks, £8 to £l2, others, £1 to £5, unbroken ponies, £4 to £7, unbroken draughts £3 to £8 10s, broken-in draughts, all work, £23 to £36 10s, other brokenin farm horsel, £3 to £ls, brokenin hacks and hunters, £l4 to £24, other broken-in hacks, £3 to £lO. -
