Fruit To Be Sold At Waimana Garden Circle Meetings
Mrs R. Linwood was the hostess at the monthly meeting of the gardening circle of the Waimana Women’s Institute, heldat the home of Mrs N. Potter, Waimana. It was decided that in future a sales table with plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables will be held at each meeting. Judges for- competitions were Misses Bennett, Wylde and Potter. Competition results: — Annual: Best bloom, Mrs M. King 1,. Mrs G. Hewitt 2, Mrs A. Mitchell 3; best vegetable, for cup donated by Mrs' C. Wylde, Mrs Hewitt 1, Mrs King 2, Mrs Mitchell 3; decorative, Mrs Hewitt 1, Mrs King 2, Mrs Mitchell 3. Monthly: Best bloom, Mrs R. Hodgson 1, Mrs Wylde 2, Mrs Mitchell 3; best vegetable, Mrs Hewitt 1, Mrs S. Eagle 2, Mrs King 3; decorated cup and saucer, Mrs Hewitt 1, Mrs'Wylde 2, Miss: Wylde 3.
