Eastern Bay Team Is Unsuccessful
Regarded as one of the most successful field days to be held by the Paengaroa Young Farmers’ Club, the annual stock-judging competitions were conducted on Mr L. E. Page’s property last week. The major event for the Wright, Stephenson Cup was won by the Western Bay of Plenty team, who amassed an aggregate of 524, points. The Eastern Bay of Plenty were second with 461 points. In the open judging the results were as follows: Horses: K. Conway 1, C. Dawes 2, P. Bedford 3. Beef Cattle: T. Levis 1, C. Whitehead 2, R. Blaymires 3. Southdown Rams: K. Conway 1, B. Vant 2, C. Dawes 3. Jersey Cows: R. Blayrpires 1, B. Vant 2, W. Marshall 3. Jersey Calves: B. Vant 1, J. Adams 2, D. Goodrick 3.
