Interest In Lyceum Club Activities Has Been Maintained
Keen interest had been maintained in all activities during the year and much unknown talent had been displayed during musical evenings the president, .Mrs E. T. Dawson, stated in her report to the annual meeting of the Whakatane Lyceum Club. __ Reports from the Bridge, Drama' and Music Circles showed that the interest had been sustained there too.
It was decided to hold social evenings during the year on the first Tuesday of each month while the first social afternoon is to be held on March 31. Officers elected:—
President, Mrs G. Otley; vicepresident, Mrs F. Sumner; 5 secre-tary-treasurer, Mrs S. C. Spence; committee, Mesdames H. S. Cantrell, N. W. Carter, A. E. Hawken, L. E. Littlejohn, L. D. Lovelock, F. G. Macklow, R. B. Mollgaard, S. B. H. Runciman; auditor, Mr R. E. Blair; circle conveners, Mesdames Sumner and Macklow (bridge), Cantrell and Dawson (drama), Carter and Lovelock (music).'-
