Record Number Of Babies In Plunket Garden Competition

There was a record number of babies entered in the baby, show at the annual garden party of the Whakatane Plunket Society held at the home of Mrs C. A. Suckling on Thursday. The weather was fine and the attendance large. Stalls and games proved very popular during the afternoon and contributed largely to the financial success of the function, the funds collected being well over last year's figures. Results of baby show:— Up to 6 months, G. O. Stewart 1, Baby Dallas 2; six to 12 months, Baby Jarrett 1, R. Underwood 2; one to two years, P. McKenzie 1, R. Jessop 2; twins, B. and G. Hume and B. and G. Ridley 1 equal.
