Girls ' Marching

UNITED COMPETES AT HAMILTON

Teams from all over the North Island, including Whakatane United, competed in the Waikato Girls’ Marchiqg Championships held at Hamilton on Saturday. Although Whakatane, which is only a newly formed team, were not up with the leaders in the final results some officials who watched them competing said they had improved immensely on their previous performances.

In a competition to seek a Miss Waikato Miss S. Ngaropa, of the Whakatane team, was one of the 15 selected to contest the final, which was won by a Hamilton girl.
