medium entry of pigs was penned, a large proportion of which were light bacon and porkers, at the fortnightly pig sale of the Farmers’ Co-operative Co. Ltd., held at Te Puke. Butchers and export buyers were operating for pork and a firming in values resulted. All other classes remained firm at recent quotations. Quotations: — Choppers, £6 15s to £7 10s; medium bacon, £6 15s to £7 Is; light bacon, £6 2s to £6 13s;! heavy pork .and buttermilk pigs, £5 6s to £5 18s; medium pork, £4 8s to £4 18s; light pork and large stores £3 10s to £4 ss; smaller stores, £2 18s to £3 15s; weaners 22s to 345.
