Sheep Find Ready Market At Te Teko
A good yarding of fat and store cattle were auctioned at the fortnightly Te Teko sale held on Monday. Stock came forward in good order and condition and competition was keen throughout. A good yarding of lambs and ewes mostly from Manawahe country found a ready market and prices realised compared favourably with outside districts.
Price ranges:'B/F lambs, 18s to 235; wether lambs, 255; 5 and 5 year ewes, 29s to 355; 4 tooth ewes, 38s; Jersey steers, £9 7s 6d to £l2 17s 6d; fat Jersey cattle, £7 15s to £9 17s 6d; store Jersey cattle, £6 3s to £7 15s; bulls, £7 12s 6d to £l2; Jersey calves, £4 to £5 10s; P.A. heifers, £6 12s 6d.
