Extension Work Work of extending the secondary power lines in Bracken, Street has been commenced by borough staff Card Evening Booby prizes at the weekly pro-gi-essive 500 card evening of the Whakatane Druids Lodge were won by Mrs J. Shapley and Mr Pedersen. The winners for the evening were Mrs Barrowman and Mr Chisholm. Held In Abeyance Several applications to build business premises at Kopeopeo were received by the monthly meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council but were held over until the final plan of the new town planning scheme for the borough is received from the town planning officer. Similar action was taken with applications for sub-division of properties.
