Sir,—Mr John Hargrave, founder of Social Credit action in Great Britain, is standing as j prospective Parliamentary candidate in SouthEast Bristol; division of of the Exchequer Sir Stafford Cripps. Mr Hargrave who is a Fellow the Royal Society of Arts, visited Alberta in 1936/37 when he was Economic Adviser to the Government of Alberta. > Hargrave is reckoned as a “dark horse” in the election stakes in Bristol. He had already opened his campaign there in November 1949 in preparation for the General Election on February 23, 1950. On October 31, 1949, at the large Central Hall, Westminster, Hargrave spoke to an audience of several thousand. He pointed out the pioneer work done in Alberta by its Social Credit Government; supplementary work in addition to regular open air meetings, and regular weekly meetings held indoors at headquarters of the British Social Credit Party are receiving an increasing attendance, i Yours etc., W.
