Farm Schools Assist Many Maori Farmers

The fine work and encouragement achieved among Maori farmers by the farm schools had been remarked upon by the Department of Maori Affairs, the secretary, Mr E. J. Vosper, told an executive meeting of the Bay of Plenty Federated Farmers .at Whakatane. Appreciation of the results gained from the schools by Maoris in the Eastern Bay of Plenty had drawn much appreciative comment. Throughout the area covered by the schools a great improvement in Maori farming methods and production had been noted and no small measure of this was credited to the work of the farm schools, Mr Vosper added.
