Good Competition For Baconer Pigs
Although there was only a light yarding of baconers competition was keen and spirited at the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd’s., pig sale held at Opotiki. Porkers were penned in good numbers and these met with steady bidding and good values were realised. Slips and small stores were slower of sale and these eased on the previous sale. Prices realised:—
Medium baconers, £6 15s; light baconers, £5 11s to £5 15s; heavy porkers, £4 13s to £4 17s; medium porkers, £4 2s to £4 11s; slips and small stores, £1 13s to £2 10s.
