Patients Increase In Hospital

At the end of last month 107 patients (45 male, 62 female) remained in the Whakatane District Hospital the medical superintendent, Dr E. T. Dawson, reported to the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board yesterday. This was an increase from 86 (36 male, 50 female) which were in the hospital on January 1. During the month there were 175 admissions (63 male, 112 female) and 149 discharges (52 male, 97 female).

Five deaths were reported, three being females, and 39 births, 18 of whom were males.
