Opotiki Pig Sale Attracts Some Steady Bidding

Steady bidding with all classes showing a decided improvement on the previous sale were the main features of the fortnightly pig sale of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., at Opotiki. There was a good yarding of baconers, porkers and stores. Prices realised:— v Heavy baconers, £6 12s 6d to £6 15s; medium baconers, £6 to £6-10s; light baconers, £5 12s to £5 17s; heavy porkers, £4 18s to £5 Is; medium porkers, £3 16s to £4 12s; stores, £3 6s to £3 10s; slips, £1 18s to £2 13s; good weaners, £4 13s to £2; medium choppers, £5 10s to £5 17s; light and inferior choppers to £4.
