Whakatane Gains A Third In Bay Marching Champs

A third in the street march was gained by the Whakatane team which attended the Bay Pf Plenty Girls’ Marching Championships at Tauranga on Saturday. Ten teams attended the meeting, which was won by Robin Hood (Rotorua).

All teams with the exception of the Whakatane team had had previous championship experience. The Whakatane team will probably attend a meeting at Te Puke on Saturday while a marching championship is to be held at Whakatane on February 25 in conjunction with the A. and-P. show.
