Bowing Club Benefits From Bottle Drive

Appreciation of the good response from the people of Ohope, Whakatane and Taneatua was expressed by the captain of the Whakatane Rowing Club, Mr B. Norman, following the annual bottle .drive on Saturday. Mr NorpTan said the number of bottles collected was almost a reand he thought that from the total collection the club would benefit considerably. He desired to thank those residents who had kept bottles for the drive and also owners of trucks who had made their vehicles available for the day. The Club concluded the day with a successful dance in the evening.
