New Street Lights New street lights have been installed in Tuhoe Avenue in the new State house block. * Rubbish Receptacles Two additional rubbish receptacles have been provided at the Heads Park, Whakatane. New secondary lines to Hillcrest have now been completed in readiness for a new transformer, which 'will be installed when available. Driving Licenses
Six applicants, all of whom were successful, were tested for driving licenses by the traffic inspector, Mr M. C. Bridge, at Whakatane during the past month. /Road Sealing
Seaview Road, Hillcrest, is now being prepared for a priming coat prior to sealing. If the weather is suitable sealing will be applied before Christmas.
Wandering Stock Wandering stock in the boro,ugh has been causing some concern to the Whakatane Borough Council and the foreman engineer, Mr C. D. Molesworth, has been appointed an officer to impound stock. The stock on roads has been tethered horses and wandering cattle.
