First Gladiolus Show Of Season
With the blooming season under way gladiolus enthusiasts are once again busy with their favourite garden subject. The Gladiolus Society is staging a series of three afternoon'shows in the Women’s Institute room and the first;was held on Saturday, when a fine exhibition of blooms was seen. Competition is for a cup to be won by the exhibitor securing the most points over the three shows,- and in this show the honours of holding the cup until next Saturday - when the next show is to be held, fell to Mr P. F. Farnworth who gained 10 points.
