Waimana & Kutarere Calves Successful At Opotiki Show

Several Waimana and Kutarere animals were successful at the Bay of Plenty Calf Club’s Show at Opotiki against a high standard of strong entries from other parts of Eastern Bay of Plenty. The champion calf and the winner of the senior class was Micky Ruff’s Mayfield from Nukuhou, which "scored 901 points. The junior class was won by Joy Steer’s Daisy, which lived up to her reputation at the Waiotahi show, where she annexed five prizes. Patricia Eagle, Waimana, was second and Sam Edwards, Kutarere, third. In the Maori class, Sam Edwards was the winner ( Bobbie Robinson, Nukuhou second and John Robinson third.
