National Party Dances In Election

The success of the National Party in being returned as the Government during the election was celebrated at a dance in the Captain s Cabin, Ohope, on Wednesday night by members of the Whakatane Branch of the National Party and other supporters from many parts of the district. Appreciation of the support given the party was expressed by Mr H. G. Warren,, who thanked the people of the district for ' attending the dance. A monte carlo was won by Miss C. Miles and Mr T. Langdon while the victory monte carlo was won by Miss Nancy Heath and Mr P. Heckett. Mr S. Sharp was the M.C. for Harrison’s Orchestra.
