TANEATUA’S WIN OVER EDGECUMBE Taneatua defeated Edgecumbe in a cricket match at Taneatua on Sunday by 68 runs on the first innings. Highlight of the game was a dashing 62 by W. McCready. He hit nine boundaries, five being sixes. His total of 62 was compiled in 20 minutes. Details:—
Edgecumbe 70 (E. Tunnicliffe 31; bowling for Taneatua Barker 7 wickets for 17 runs). Taneatua 145 (W. McCready 62, A. Green 23; ThurIdw 3 for 40, Blake 2 for. 6). Edgecumbe had made 66 runs for 6 wickets in their second innings when stumps were drawn, Ta'neatua took the honours by a win on the first innings.
