Eggs Will Still Be Sold on Count

Only one attempt has been made in the Bay of Plenty to sell eggs by weight and that was at Tauranga where it was anything but successful. The first attempt took place at Gisborne earlier this year and that was a failure. The second test was made at Tauranga and the result of it has made officials a little touchy When the subject is now mentioned.

It will probably be a very long time before another attefnpt is made. In the meantime consumers can rest assured that eggs will be sold on the count at Whakatane until the other method has been proved a definite possibility, which it has not so far.
