Edgecumbe Red Cross

'At this month’s meeting of the Edgecumbe Red Cross, it was announced that the stall day had been quite a success, though not quite up to that of previous years. The meeting expressed its gratitude to Mr A. C. Clark, who had erected the, stall and shelter. A quantity of clothing, shoes and hats was received from the Anglican Church for inclusion in the next parcel to be sent to England. Since this was the last meeting of the year, work done was reviewed briefly by Mrs T. G. Roberts, who presided, and it was agreed that, on the whole, the year’s progress was satisfactory. Next meeting was fixed for the second Thursday in February.
